This past weekend @ the Youthwork Conference, I got to meet my hero in the faith, Vicky Beeching. As funny as it might sound, if you were to ask me to choose one person I could meet out of all the people presently alive, I would say without hesitation, "Vicky Beeching". I myself don't fully understand this, but the respect I have for her as a worship leader and role model in the Christian faith is immense; not only that, it is different to the respect I have for other "heroes of the faith". I guess I feel I can relate to her in a number of ways, which therefore inspires me to dream bigger, think more, and go for it with Christ--no matter how big the dream.
It was a true honour and blessing to finally meet this woman, and 'friend' whom God has used so richly in my life to actually help transform me into who I'm becoming today.
Thank you Lord for Vicky and for how You have used her to inspire me in You. I pray Your richest blessings upon her in all that she does, in her health, in her worship ministry, song writing, social-networking, and personal walk with you. Encourage her, guide her, and remind her how much she is loved by You, and also--that You, O LORD, are infact using her powerfully for YOUR glory. Amen.
